Contest
Members of Local 2627 can win an autographed copy of
The Man Who Hated Work and Loved Labor,
Les Leopold's biography of Tony Mazzocchi.
In observance of both Earth Day (April 22) and Workers Memorial Day (April
28), we are raffling off four (4) autographed copies of The Man Who Hated Work
and Loved Labor: The Life and Times of Tony Mazzocchi, by Les Leopold. Mazzocchi
was a legendary labor leader and a pioneer in linking the labor, environmental,
and occupational health movements. He was the primary force behind passage of
the Occupational Safety and Health Act and he was chair of the very first Earth
Day celebration (1970, New York City).
